Archetype FOUR is part of the Intimate triad.
The Archetypes in this triad form the foundation for Emotional Belonging.
Each is expressed within the Divine, Nature, & Human Octaves.
At the Nature Octave, Archetype Four is the domain of maturation and healing. Each life form possesses the Power to Individuate. The seed is not cast out because it is unwanted. It is not abandoned. It must be alone in the darkness for a time, so that it can take root and grow. In blossoming, it fulfills its mission of becoming.
Your heart unfolds and enfolds like a flower with every beat, fulfilling its divine purpose. When you feel connected to your own tender center, there is nothing to be but yourself. Your vulnerability is precious. Your beauty and value are self-evident. This is an essential aspect of Intimate Belonging.
Maturity is opening fully as an individual while also sensing yourself as part of the collective beauty. Healing is the return of palpable connection following the experience of separation. This card suggests these movements are now underway.
Archetype Four Contemplation:
Consider the life of a rose plant. It is a thing of beauty whether anyone notices or not. It begins as a seed in dirt. It sprouts in the dark, pushes through soil, and grows and leafs for years before it finally buds. Buds swell into blossoms. Blossoms open to “outside” pollinators. Flowers wilt and fall to the ground, revealing a seed—rose hip—that can be harvested for medicine or grow a new rose plant.
We humans often resist sharing our beauty in order to protect our hearts. We overlook the beauty that comes through wilting and falling away. We long for recognition, yet fail to truly recognize and appreciate ourselves. We waste energy avoiding a good pruning, even though it invigorates our life force and increases our capacity to grow and flower. There is much to learn from the rose.
I’m grateful for your reciprocity in the form of a “like,” share, comment, and/or paid subscription, if that’s within your means.
